Sermon Prep for next week

I know what you are thinking why in the world are you thinking about your message for next week already. Well the reality is by the time I get home on Sunday afternoon and eat lunch,  hang out with the kids, I start my preparation for the following Sunday's message.

Here is a verse that is really kicking my butt for next weeks message...

Hebrew 13:15, Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.

Continually...what a concept!  Can't wait to see everyone next week as we end our series Air.  

7 days of what...

So I am thinking about  transferring my church membership to Fellowship Church  starting this Sunday.  Honey, I hope you are OK with this, and praying you get better by tomorrow! :)

Bright Sadness

lOVE | fAITH | cHANGE

Over the last couple of months we have struggled to simplify how we describe of our community at Ethos.  We all agreed that we are normal ordinary people who struggle to live out our faith daily.  Then a couple of us were together talking about words that describe our community.  The problem was we came up with way to many words for any one to remember so we decided to bring it back to three words...lOVE | fAITH | cHANGE

We felt that this is a biblical picture of the journey we are called to live.  Ethos is simply a community of  people learning to live the way of Jesus together in light of love faith and change.  Again this is not about changing our mission at all.  We are focused more now than ever to make disciples who make a difference.  This was our attempt to help people understand our community.  So, as we move forward we will speak of love, faith, and change.

All I can say is WOW this really got me thinking.

Coldplay

Last night was amazing!  Coldplay is one of my all time favorite band.  There show was by far one of the most artistic shows I have ever been to...every song had a completely different feel to it.  I took tones of pics and videos but here just a quick one...

PS If you could continue to pray for my family that would be great.  A lot of us seem to be really sick.  Thx.
